Welcome  to  Kiwanis de Amigos

We are a service organization serving the children of the greater Tucson community. We meet every Tuesday at the local IHOP
on the corner of East Grant Road and Rosemont Blvd. beginning at 7:00 a.m. Please look on our calendar to see the weekly speaker.

New Member!

Kiwanis de Amigos would like to announce our newest member of the club, Barb Herrick. Barb has been a Tucson resident since 1980 and we're honored that she has decided to join our club. On January 3 Barb was officially inducted into the club by President Larry Ross, Lt. Governor Alan Tonelson, and Governor-elect Ed Verburg. Welcome Barb!

Our major community events and activities include the following:

Kiwanis de Amigos Relays Track Meet for Middle Schools at Drachman Track and Field Stadium, University of Arizona.  Every spring since 2001. Free - no cost to schools or athletes. The 15th Annual Kiwanis de Amigos Relays will take place on April 1, 2017.  More detailed information is available here.

Kiwanis de Amigos Rattlesnake Run Cross Country Meet for Middle Schools at Columbus Park.  Every fall since 2003.  Free - no cost to schools or athletes. The 13th Annual Kiwanis de Amigos Rattlesnake Run was run on September 12 and by all accounts it was a big success.

This year we had 23 schools and over 400 student athletes compete.

We would like to thank all of the volunteers who helped out, especially those from Sabino High School Key Club, University High School, and the University of Arizona CKI. Thanks to the Tucson Borderlands Kiwanis Club and the Tucson Kiwanis Club for volunteering and the Track and Field Officials from the U of A for their invaluable assistance.

And last but not least, we would especially like to thank our sponsors, without whom this event would not be possible. A special appreciation to Jim Click Automotive, Tucson Conquistadores, and Family Auto Body who have been helping for all of our 14 years.
