Here is the July edition of the Kiwanis Southwest District Newsletter.
Welcome to Kiwanis de Amigos
We are a service organization serving the children of the greater Tucson community. We meet every Tuesday at the local IHOP
Our annual Kiwanis de Amigos Rummage Sale will be on Saturday October 15 at the Sportsman's parking lot (3945 W. Costco Drive). You can click here for more information.
On September 10 the Kiwanis de Amigos hosted its 14th Annual Rattlesnake Run. This is an invitational cross country race for Southern Arizona Middle School Athletes. This year we had 23 schools and over 400 student athletes compete.
We would like to thank all of the volunteers who helped out, especially those from Sabino High School Key Club, University High School, and the University of Arizona CKI. Thanks to the Tucson Borderlands Kiwanis Club and the Tucson Kiwanis Club for volunteering and the Track and Field Officials from the U of A for their invaluable assistance.
And last but not least, we would especially like to thank our sponsors, without whom this event would not be possible. A special appreciation to Jim Click Automotive, Tucson Conquistadores, and Family Auto Body who have been helping for all of our 14 years.
